Construction of Cheonju University and Chung-buk Innovation City Industry-Academic Fusion Campus.

Our university (President Cha Chun-Soo) is preparing to develop an energy industry-Academic fusion campus in the Chung-buk Innovation City.
Our University announced on the 2nd, it has completed the design of the Energy Industry- Academic fusion Campus in Chungbuk innovation center and started to select construction companies.
This project will spend a total 35.5 billion won, including 11.9 billion won in government expenses, 15.2 billion won provinces budget, 8.4 billion won in university budget, for six years by 2025.
It aims to integrate the university and the industrial estate area to realize the direct employment and education of R&D workers, and to create a practice-oriented Industry-Academic fusion education system.
Through this business, our university will foster international level energy experts and pursue joint study with companies. Our university plans to relocate the campus which is related departments to the industry-university fusion campus to next year.
This campus is planning to operate on-site customized training, human capacity development Small and Medium-sized Companies, and life-long education for workers, and supporting worker's cultural welfare program.
Our university said, " this campus will connect to the region (Innovation City and other industrial estate) to create a new renewable energy center based on the solar energy" and " it's expected to contribute creating jobs and economic development in local area.
