Our school participated in the first Chungcheongbuk-do University Sports Club Competition on May 18th to 19th, 2024. In addition to our school, a total of 17 universities, including Chungbuk National University, Seowon University, Far East University, and Air Force Academy, participated. This is the first university sports club competition co-hosted by the Air Force Academy and the Chungcheongbuk-do Sports Council. On this day, 600 athletes from 17 universities participated in three sports: soccer, basketball, and tennis at the Air Force Academy.

This competition was held together by the military and the private sector for the successful hosting of the ‘Summer World University Competition’ in 2027. At the opening ceremony, the cadets of the Air Force Academy presented a "celebration ceremony" (cadet performance), and even cheerleading and military band performances were decorated.

Our school participated as one soccer team and two basketball teams. Shin Kang-wook, a 20-year-old captain of the soccer team, said, "I know that there have been a lot of hard things in preparation for this tournament, and the other team's skills are great, so I will enjoy it and do it without getting hurt." Bae Jun-soo, captain of the basketball team in his 20th year, said, "I'm a little worried because there are injured players, but based on my experience in practice games with various schools, I'll play a game that harmonizes without getting hurt.“

Our school's soccer team played the first game against the Air Force Academy. Our school's players fought well by finishing the second half one-on-one with the Air Force Academy despite the situation where only one player was replaced due to the tournament's mistake. However, it ended with a 4-2 defeat after a bloody battle to the penalty shootout.

The basketball team was divided into teams A and B. The game is a three-on-three method. The basketball team dramatically won the first game against the Far East University, 16-15. In the second game, they beat Cheongju National University of Education 10-9 to achieve a breakthrough in the finals.

Our school's basketball team defeated Cheongju University of Education 13:9 in the quarterfinals, In the semifinals, they defeated Konkuk University 11:9. Later, in the final, they beat Seowon University 11:10 to lift the trophy. It is really meaningful that our school won the first club sports competition held in Chungcheongbuk-do.
