The Regional Specialized Youth Trade Expert Training Project Group (GTEP), which is being promoted by the Department of Trade at Cheongju University's School of Business, held a "Global E-Commerce Competition" to strengthen students' global business capabilities and support SMEs' entry into overseas markets.

Bioncell (cosmetic), Sobaek Korea (red ginseng product), Mignon Korea (eye lashes), Yeongdong University Venture Food (fruit juice), Farmhouse Food (cup rice Tteokbokki), and Youngshin FNC (dog products) participated as small and medium-sized enterprises for industry-academia cooperation. "Students' online global business capabilities are very high, and their passion and efforts for overseas marketing activities through Shopee are very high," said Ryu Ga-young, a senior official at the Chungbuk Institute of Science and Technology Innovation who participated in the screening.

The "100%" team, which won the grand prize at the competition, said, "There were many twists and turns while preparing, but it was a very meaningful experience as we worked hard to prepare with our team members," adding, "I will try to be a good trader in the future."

The "Avengers" team, which won the grand prize, said, "It was good to be able to achieve second place for the hard work with the team members, and we will try to achieve greater growth and profits in the future."

Kim Yu-bin, a student who received the startup excellence award, explained, "While I experienced the practice of a global e-commerce platform, it was a good experience as an activity that could not be easily experienced at school, such as planning overseas business start-ups, establishing and implementing marketing strategies. “

"It is of great significance to help raise awareness of Korean small and medium-sized products in the Southeast Asian market and expand the market through acquisition and activities of field-oriented practical experience in the global e-commerce market, which is continuously growing," said Lee Jae-young, head of the GTEP business group at Cheongju University, adding, "We will continue to actively participate in promoting the export commercialization of domestic SMEs so that students can expand their practical capabilities and field experiences, and strive to produce meaningful results in corporate support activities.“
