Our University Successfully Hosts the 2026 Haeoreum Festival

On March 31, 2026, from 4 PM to 10 PM, the Haeoreum Festival was held at the Cultural Plaza of the University Cultural Center on our campus. This event was organized by the 59th Student Council, “JUMPING UP.” It was prepared to support students as they begin the new semester and to help them create special memories.

This year’s Haeoreum Festival was made up of three main programs. Part 1, the inauguration ceremony, and Part 2, the main festival, took place from 4 PM to 6:20 PM. This was followed by Part 3, the “Youth in Full Bloom” singing contest. At the beginning of the event, the student council inauguration ceremony was held, along with congratulatory remarks from the university president. It became a meaningful moment that officially marked the start of the newly launched student council.

The second part of the event was filled with a variety of programs that signaled the full start of the festival. In particular, the fun and lively performances by student council members greatly lifted the atmosphere. Prize drawings and games with generous rewards added even more excitement, and students actively participated while enjoying the prepared performances and events.

The third part, the “Youth in Full Bloom” singing contest, featured teams that had passed a preliminary audition and advanced to the final stage. Participants showed off their individuality and talent on stage. It went beyond a simple competition, becoming a performance that connected with the audience. The venue was filled with passion and cheers. The prize money for the contest was 300,000 won for first place, 200,000 won for second place, and 100,000 won for third place. This helped boost high levels of participation among contestants.

One of the most popular features of the event was the picnic mat zone. Students could receive a mat by submitting one bundle of instant noodles. Those who used the picnic mat zone were provided with one whole chicken and one can of beer per person. In addition, a product recommendation voucher was also given. This allowed students to enjoy the festival freely with their friends in a relaxed atmosphere.

In particular, the instant noodle donation event added meaningful value to the festival. The collected noodles will be delivered to Chungbuk Hyeneung Orphanage. This connects the event to supporting vulnerable groups in the Chungbuk region and expands the meaning of the festival into society. The event served as an easy way for students to participate in giving back during their college life and became a valuable opportunity for them to grow as contributors to sharing and care.

The festival also gained attention for its wide range of giveaway events. Major prizes included an Electroman Google TV, a Cuckoo air purifier, an Elec monitor, an iRoom cordless vacuum, a Kanu Barista Breeze, and a Cuckoo pressure rice cooker. Other lifestyle appliances and popular items included an air fryer, electric grill pan, mini brazier, mini dehumidifier, fan, ramen pot, printer, Bluetooth headset, and heated leg massager. Participation prizes included 230 packs of instant noodles and 25 packs of tissue. These various prizes encouraged participation and made the atmosphere even more lively.

Kim Seung-min, the vice president of the 59th “JUMPING UP” Student Council, who organized the event, shared thoughts on the preparation process. The following is the full transcript of an interview with vice president Kim Seung-min.

“As we prepared for the Haeoreum Festival alongside the student council inauguration, we approached it with a strong sense of duty and responsibility. Since it was the first event hosted by the student council in the new semester, we had high expectations, but also felt a lot of pressure. Even so, we focused on giving students enjoyable memories and enhancing the positive image of the university.

I believe that going beyond a simple festival and including a donation for vulnerable groups added deeper meaning to this event. Thanks to the voluntary participation of many students, we were able to successfully wrap up the event. Although there were challenges during preparation, the sense of reward was even greater.”

He also explained why the picnic mat zone and donation event were introduced.

“This Haeoreum Festival stands out because we strengthened elements that allow students to actively participate, rather than just watch performances. The picnic mat zone was designed so students could freely stay on campus and spend time with friends. We wanted the festival to be more than just something to watch, but something to experience.

The instant noodle donation event was planned to add the value of sharing. We chose instant noodles because they are easy for students to contribute without feeling any burden. We wanted to send the message that giving doesn’t have to be something big, it can start from small, everyday actions.

He also gave a detailed explanation of how the donated items were handled.

“After the event ended, we carefully counted the number of donated noodles and sorted them by type. Then we checked their condition to ensure there would be no issues with delivery. The process followed a pre-arranged plan to deliver them to a local social welfare facility.

We didn’t just want to deliver items, we also made efforts to share the meaning of students’ participation and the purpose behind the donations. That’s why we think this process is even more meaningful, as it provides real help to the local community.”

Among all preparations, the picnic mat zone was the area they focused on the most.

“We believe that most college students have imagined spending time with friends on a campus lawn with a picnic mat at least once. We wanted to turn that idea into reality. We also wanted to make better use of the spaces on our campus.

We hoped the picnic mat zone would be more than just a place to rest, it would be a space where students could connect and relax. Seeing many students actually enjoying their time there made all the effort worthwhile.”

As for the program they emphasized the most, he mentioned the singing contest.

“Our university has many students with diverse talents. We wanted to create a stage where they could fully express themselves. That’s why we put the most effort into the singing contest.

With prize money involved, participation was very enthusiastic. You could feel the passion from the audition stage. In the finals, it became a space where everyone could enjoy together. Through this, we believe a sense of community naturally formed.”

He explained the judging criteria for the contest as well.

“The most important factor in judging was how well the performers connected with the audience. It mattered how many students could relate to and enjoy the performance.

We also carefully evaluated each participant’s individuality and stage composition. It wasn’t just about singing ability, we looked at how well they expressed their own unique style overall.”

Lastly, he shared the future direction of the student council.

“We plan to organize various events where students can continue to participate together. Beyond simple enjoyment, we will focus on strengthening the sense of connection among members.

We also aim to expand activities linked with the local community. We are thinking about ways to create positive impact beyond experiences within the campus. Through this, we will work toward building a healthier community at our university.”

The 2026 Haeoreum Festival came to a meaningful close, bringing together students’ passionate participation and warm spirit of sharing. It was a valuable time to support each other’s future at the start of a new semester and to reflect on the true meaning of a university community.

In particular, the unity and energy shown by students as they planned and enjoyed the event themselves clearly demonstrated the maturity of our campus culture. The way acts of sharing from the festival extended into the local community also showed a new direction for university festivals. We hope the excitement and emotion from this event will become a positive driving force in students’ daily lives and, furthermore, grow into a proud tradition unique to our university.

우리 대학, 2026 총해오름제 성황리에 개최

2026년 3월 31일 오후 4시부터 밤 10시까지 우리 대학 대학문화관 문화광장에서 총해오름제가 개최되었다. 이번 행사는 우리 대학 제59대 ‘JUMPING UP’ 총학생회가 주최하였다. 새 학기를 맞이한 학우들의 출발을 응원하고 특별한 추억을 만들기 위해 마련된 자리였다.

이번 총해오름제는 총 세 개의 프로그램으로 구성되었다. 1부 출범식과 2부 총해오름제는 오후 4시부터 6시 20분까지 진행되었다. 이후 3부 ‘청춘만개’ 가요제가 이어졌다. 행사 초반에는 총학생회 출범식이 함께 진행되었으며 총장님의 축하 인사도 이어졌다. 이를 통해 새롭게 출범한 총학생회의 시작을 공식적으로 알리는 의미 있는 시간이 마련되었다.

이어진 2부 행사는 본격적인 축제의 시작을 알리는 다채로운 프로그램들로 채워졌다. 특히 총학생회 부원들이 선보인 유쾌하고 재미있는 공연은 현장 분위기를 한껏 고조시켰다. 여기에 풍성한 경품이 걸린 추첨과 게임이 더해져 축제의 활기를 더했으며, 학우들은 준비된 공연과 이벤트를 만끽하며 행사에 활기차게 참여했다.

3부 ‘청춘만개’ 가요제는 사전 오디션을 통해 선발된 팀들이 본선 무대에 오르며 진행되었다. 참가자들은 각자의 개성과 실력을 무대 위에서 펼쳤다. 단순한 경연을 넘어 관객과 함께 호흡하는 공연이 이어졌다. 현장은 열정과 환호로 가득 찼다. 가요제 상금은 1등 30만 원, 2등 20만 원, 3등 10만 원으로 구성되었다. 이는 참가자들의 높은 참여 열기를 이끌어내는 요소로 작용하였다.

이번 행사에서는 돗자리존 운영이 큰 호응을 얻었다. 학우들은 라면 1묶음을 제출하면 돗자리를 제공받을 수 있었다. 돗자리존을 이용한 학생들에게는 치킨 1마리와 1인당 맥주 1캔이 제공되었다. 또한 상품 추천권도 함께 지급되었다. 이를 통해 학생들은 친구들과 함께 자유로운 분위기 속에서 축제를 즐길 수 있었다.

특히 라면 기부 이벤트는 이번 행사의 중요한 의미를 더하는 요소였다. 행사에서 수거된 라면은 충북혜능보육원에 전달될 예정이다. 이는 충북 지역 취약계층 지원으로 이어지며 축제의 의미를 사회로 확장하였다. 이 이벤트가 학생들이 대학 생활 중 손쉽게 사회 환원에 참여할 수 있는 통로 역할을 하여 학생들이 나눔의 주체로 성장하는 소중한 계기가 된 것이다.

이번 총해오름제는 다양한 경품 이벤트로도 많은 관심을 받았다. 주요 경품으로는 일렉트로맨 구글 TV, 쿠쿠 공기청정기, 일렉 모니터, 아이룸 무선청소기, 카누 바리스타 브리즈, 쿠쿠 압력밥솥 등이 준비되었다. 생활 가전과 인기 경품으로는 에어프라이어, 전기 그릴팬, 미니 화로, 미니 제습기, 선풍기, 라면 포트, 프린터, 블루투스 헤드셋, 온열 다리 마사지기 등이 제공되었다. 참여 경품으로는 라면 230개와 휴지 25개가 마련되었다. 다양한 경품은 행사 참여를 유도하고 현장의 분위기를 더욱 활기차게 만들었다.

이번 행사를 주최한 제59대 ‘JUMPING UP’ 총학생회 부회장 김승민 학우는 행사 준비 과정에 대해 다음과 같이 밝혔다. 다음은 김승민 부회장과의 인터뷰 전문이다.

“총학생회 출범식과 함께 진행된 해오름제를 준비하면서 큰 사명감과 책임감을 가지고 임했습니다. 새 학기를 맞아 총학생회가 처음 주관한 행사였기 때문에 기대도 있었지만 부담도 적지 않았습니다. 그럼에도 학우 여러분께 즐거운 추억을 드리고 학교의 긍정적인 이미지를 높이는 데에 집중하고자 했습니다.

단순한 축제를 넘어 취약계층을 위한 기부를 함께 진행한 점이 이번 행사의 의미를 더했다고 생각합니다. 많은 학우분들의 자발적인 참여 덕분에 행사를 잘 마무리할 수 있었습니다. 준비 과정에서 어려움도 있었지만 보람이 더 크게 남았습니다.”

이번 행사에서 돗자리존과 기부 이벤트를 도입한 이유에 대해서도 설명했다.

“이번 해오름제는 공연을 보는 형식에서 벗어나 학우분들이 직접 참여할 수 있는 요소를 강화했다는 점에서 차별화됩니다. 돗자리존은 학생들이 캠퍼스에서 자유롭게 머물며 친구들과 시간을 보낼 수 있도록 기획했습니다. 단순한 관람이 아니라 하나의 경험으로 축제를 즐길 수 있도록 하고 싶었습니다.

라면 기부 이벤트는 나눔의 가치를 더하기 위해 기획되었습니다. 학우분들이 부담 없이 참여할 수 있도록 일상에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 라면을 선택했습니다. 기부가 거창한 것이 아니라 작은 실천에서 시작된다는 메시지를 전하고 싶었습니다.”

기부된 라면의 전달 과정에 대해서도 구체적으로 설명했다.

“행사가 끝난 뒤 라면의 수량을 정확하게 집계하고 품목별로 분류하는 과정을 거쳤습니다. 이후 보관 상태를 점검하여 전달에 문제가 없도록 준비했습니다. 사전에 협의된 지역 사회복지시설에 전달하는 절차로 진행했습니다.

단순히 물품을 전달하는 것에 그치지 않고 학우분들의 참여 의미와 기부 취지가 함께 전달될 수 있도록 노력했습니다. 이러한 과정이 지역사회에 실질적인 도움이 된다는 점에서 더욱 의미 있다고 생각합니다.”

행사 준비 과정에서 가장 공을 들인 부분으로는 돗자리존을 꼽았다.

“대학생이라면 한 번쯤 캠퍼스 잔디밭에서 돗자리를 펴고 친구들과 시간을 보내는 모습을 상상해 봤을 것이라고 생각합니다. 이러한 로망을 실제로 구현하고 싶었습니다. 우리 학교의 공간을 더 잘 활용하고 싶다는 마음도 있었습니다.

돗자리존이 단순한 휴식 공간이 아니라 학우분들이 서로 교류하고 여유를 느낄 수 있는 공간이 되기를 바랐습니다. 실제로 많은 분들이 편안하게 시간을 보내는 모습을 보면서 준비한 보람을 느꼈습니다.”

가장 중점을 둔 프로그램으로는 가요제를 언급했다.

“우리 학교에는 다양한 재능을 가진 학우들이 많다고 생각합니다. 그들이 자신의 끼를 마음껏 펼칠 수 있는 무대를 만들고 싶었습니다. 그래서 가요제에 가장 많은 공을 들였습니다.

상금이 걸린 만큼 참여 열기도 높았습니다. 오디션 단계부터 열정이 느껴졌습니다. 본선에서는 모두가 함께 즐기는 분위기가 만들어졌습니다. 이를 통해 공동체 의식도 자연스럽게 형성되었다고 생각합니다.”

가요제 심사 기준에 대해서는 다음과 같이 설명했다.

“심사에서 가장 중요하게 본 부분은 관객과의 호흡이었습니다. 얼마나 많은 학우들이 함께 공감하고 즐길 수 있었는지가 중요한 기준이었습니다.

또한 참가자의 개성과 무대 구성도 중요하게 평가했습니다. 단순한 가창력뿐 아니라 자신만의 색깔을 얼마나 잘 표현했는지를 종합적으로 고려했습니다.”

마지막으로 향후 총학생회의 방향성에 대해서도 밝혔다.

“앞으로도 학우 여러분과 함께할 수 있는 다양한 행사를 기획할 예정입니다. 단순한 즐거움을 넘어서 구성원 간의 유대감을 강화하는 데에 중점을 두겠습니다.

또한 지역사회와 연계한 활동도 확대해 나가고자 합니다. 학교 안에서의 경험을 넘어 사회에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있는 방향을 고민하고 있습니다. 이를 통해 우리 대학이 더 건강한 공동체로 나아갈 수 있도록 노력하겠습니다.”

이번 총해오름제는 학우들의 열정적인 참여와 따뜻한 나눔이 한데 어우러진 뜻깊은 결실을 거두며 마무리되었다. 새로운 학기를 시작하는 시점에서 서로의 앞날을 응원하고 대학 공동체의 진정한 의미를 되새길 수 있었던 소중한 시간이었다.

특히 학생들이 직접 기획하고 즐기는 과정에서 보여준 화합의 에너지는 우리 대학의 성숙한 캠퍼스 문화를 증명하기에 충분했다. 축제 현장에서 모인 나눔의 손길이 지역사회로 뻗어 나가는 모습은 대학 축제가 나아가야 할 새로운 방향을 보여주기도 했다. 이번 행사가 남긴 벅찬 감동이 학우들의 일상 속에 기분 좋은 동력이 되길 바라며, 나아가 우리 대학만의 자랑스러운 전통으로 깊게 뿌리 내리기를 기대한다.
