September: A New Starting LineClosing Remarks with the Final Issue of 2025

 As we welcome the last month of the year, I am once again reminded of how quickly time passes. It always seems to move faster than we expect. As we attend lectures, prepare for exams, and live each day to the fullest, the changing of the seasons often goes unnoticed until we suddenly realize it. The cool autumn breeze has turned into the cold winds of winter, and the fallen leaves that once colored our campus have nearly disappeared. Although the beginning of the 2025 second semester still feels vivid, we already find ourselves preparing to greet a new year. The swift passage of time leaves us with both amazement and a quiet sense of longing.

 

 As we stand at this turning point, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the past year. For some, this year may have been filled with special and unforgettable memories, while for others, it may have been a period of enduring difficult moments and growing stronger through them. Some may have achieved the goals they set at the beginning of the year, and others may have faced unexpected challenges that required them to revise their plans. Regardless of the outcome, I firmly believe that every step we have taken and every effort we have made carries meaningful value. Rather than measuring a year solely by visible achievements, I believe it is important to acknowledge the significance of enduring, persevering, and continuing to move forward. While we cannot fully understand the weight of each other’s journeys, I sincerely offer my respect and encouragement to every student who has devoted themselves wholeheartedly in their own place.

 

 Throughout the year, we have all worked tirelessly while balancing academics, career exploration, relationships, part-time jobs, and more. Though our paths may differ, we all grow while walking through the same seasons and the same passage of time. I hope that in the midst of busy days, you will pause for a moment to acknowledge your own effort and be proud of what you have accomplished. Some of you may already be doing more than enough without recognizing your own worth. Through this letter, I want to affirm once again that the sweat, dedication, and emotions you have invested this year were never in vain.

I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to our loyal readers who continued to support the Cheongdae Times throughout the year. Your interest and encouragement have given our reporters a profound sense of responsibility while preparing each issue. I offer sincere thanks to all the reporters who dedicated their time to writing meaningful articles, to Professor Jae-young Lee and Professor Cathy Hynes for guiding our editorial process, and to all who supported us through to the final publication. Above all, we exist because there are students who read our paper, and I will never forget that truth.

 

 As we look toward the coming year, I sincerely hope that the wishes held deep within your hearts will come true. If you have a goal you earnestly wish to achieve, I encourage you to face it with determination and confidence. Winter may appear still and quiet, as if everything has paused, yet it is also a season preparing for a new beginning. Just as the flowers of spring bloom again after the snow melts away, I believe that your efforts will flourish into beautiful results when the time comes.

 

 Above all, I hope you remain healthy in the new year. May this season become a time when we share warmth and encouragement with one another. I believe that the dedication of each and every one of you will illuminate the time ahead. The Cheongdae Times will continue striving to become a newspaper that grows and progresses alongside you. We promise to deliver more meaningful stories, more insightful information, and a warmer perspective to our entire university community. I ask you to continue supporting and visiting the Cheongdae Times in the coming year as well. Your small attention becomes our greatest strength.

 

 Thank you sincerely for this past year. I wish you a warm and peaceful end of the year, and a hopeful and bright new beginning. May health, happiness, and good fortune always accompany your path ahead.

어느덧 한 해의 마지막 달을 맞이하게 되었습니다. 시간은 늘 우리가 예상하는 것보다 더 빠르게 흘러가는 것 같습니다. 바쁘게 강의를 듣고 시험을 준비하며 하루하루를 살아가다 보면, 어느새 계절이 바뀌어 있음을 깨닫곤 합니다. 선선했던 가을의 공기가 차가운 겨울바람으로 바뀌었고, 캠퍼스 곳곳을 물들이던 낙엽들은 이미 거의 자취를 감추었습니다. 2025학년도 2학기가 시작되었던 날이 아직도 생생한데, 어느새 우리는 또 새로운 해를 맞을 준비를 하고 있습니다. 시간이 이렇게 빠르게 흐른다는 사실이 놀라움과 동시에 아쉬움을 남깁니다.

 

이 시점에서 지난 한 해를 천천히 돌아보고자 합니다. 누군가에게는 특별한 추억이 가득한 해였을 것이고, 또 누군가에게는 힘겨운 순간들을 견뎌내며 자신을 단단하게 만드는 시간이었을 것입니다. 어떤 분들은 연초에 세웠던 목표를 차근차근 이루어내며 성취감을 느꼈을 것이고, 또 어떤 분들은 뜻하지 않은 상황 속에서 계획을 다시 세워야 했을지도 모릅니다. 하지만 결과가 어떠했든, 우리가 노력하며 걸어온 모든 과정은 분명 의미가 있고 소중한 시간이었다고 믿습니다. 단순히 성과를 기준으로 한 해를 판단하는 것이 아니라, 버티고 이겨냈다는 사실 자체가 큰 가치라고 생각합니다. 서로의 삶의 무게를 온전히 알 수는 없지만, 각자의 자리에서 최선을 다해 살아온 모든 학우 여러분께 진심 어린 존경과 격려의 말씀을 전하고 싶습니다.

 

한 해 동안 학업과 진로, 인간관계, 아르바이트 등 수많은 일을 병행하며 살아가느라 모두 고생 많으셨습니다. 우리는 각기 다른 길을 걷고 있지만, 모두가 같은 시간 속에서 같은 계절을 지나며 성장하고 있습니다. 치열한 하루 속에서도 잠시 멈춰 서서 스스로를 다독이고 칭찬해주시길 바랍니다. 누군가는 이미 충분히 잘하고 있지만 자신을 과소평가하고 있을지도 모릅니다. 올해 여러분이 흘린 땀과 기울인 노력, 감내한 수많은 감정들이 결코 헛되지 않았다는 사실을 이 글을 통해 다시 한번 전하고 싶습니다.

 

또한 무엇보다 감사드리고 싶은 것은, 올해에도 변함없는 관심과 애정을 보내주신 청대타임즈신문사의 독자 여러분입니다. 학우 여러분의 응원과 관심 덕분에 우리 기자단은 매 호를 준비하며 더욱 책임감을 느낄 수 있었습니다. 바쁜 시간을 쪼개어 기사를 작성한 기자들, 검수 과정에 함께해 주신 교수님들, 최종 발행까지 힘써주신 이재영 교수님, 캐시하인즈 교수님 모든 분들께 깊이 감사드립니다. 무엇보다 청대타임즈를 찾아 읽어주시는 학우 여러분이 계시기에 이 신문사가 존재할 수 있음을 잊지 않겠습니다.

 

다가오는 새해에는 학우 여러분의 마음속 깊이 품고 있는 소망들이 모두 이루어지기를 진심으로 기원합니다. 간절하게 이루고 싶은 목표가 있다면 더욱 단단한 마음으로 도전하시길 바랍니다. 겨울은 모든 것이 멈춘 듯 고요하게 내려앉지만, 동시에 새로운 출발을 품고 있는 계절입니다. 하얀 눈이 모두 녹아내린 뒤 다시 피어날 봄의 꽃처럼, 여러분의 노력 또한 반드시 아름다운 결과로 이어지리라 믿습니다.

 

새해에도 무엇보다 건강하시길 바랍니다. 서로가 서로에게 따뜻함을 나눌 수 있는 계절이 되기를 희망합니다. 여러분 한 사람 한 사람의 노력이 앞으로의 시간을 더욱 빛나게 만들 것이라고 믿습니다. 우리 청대타임즈신문사는 앞으로도 여러분 곁에서 함께 성장하고 발전하는 신문사가 되기 위해 최선을 다하겠습니다. 더 많은 소식, 더 유익한 정보, 그리고 더 따뜻한 시선으로 대학 구성원 모두에게 의미 있는 이야기를 전하고자 합니다. 내년에도 청대타임즈신문사를 자주 찾아주시고, 계속해서 응원해주시길 부탁드립니다. 여러분의 작은 관심이 우리의 큰 힘이 됩니다.
